✨ About ScanSG

A quiet project by someone who just really likes Singapore.

Look, I’ll be honest — I’m not the government. Not a travel company. Not even a proper website guy. Just a foreigner who’s been living in Singapore for 4 years, falling in love with this place one kaya toast at a time.

It all started as a personal list of notes: where to eat, how not to get fined, which MRT pass saves money, why durian smells like that… Then one day I thought: “Hey, maybe someone else could use this too.”

So I cleaned it up. Added some structure. Fixed a million typos. And here we are — ScanSG, a no-frills, no-ego guide built entirely from personal experience and public info.

Everything here is gathered from official sources, forums, friends, and my own trial-and-error (sometimes a lot of error). I update it regularly because I care — not because I’m selling anything.

This is not an official website. It’s not affiliated with any government agency, tourism board, or corporation. Just one person trying to help others navigate Singapore a little easier — whether you're here for 3 days or 3 years.

If you found this useful, I’m glad. And if you want to say thanks?

You can:
  • 📧 Email me at scansg365@gmail.com — just say hi or share your feedback.
  • Buy me a Teh Tarik — purely optional :)
  • 📢 Share this page with someone who’s coming to SG
  • 📢 Give me PR if you can—no pressure, just a hopeful heart here! :)

Either way, thank you for reading. Thank you, Singapore, for being such a safe, clean, efficient, and surprisingly warm place to call home — even if just for a while.

Stay curious. Stay kind. And don’t chew gum on the MRT. 😉 🇸🇬
